Hi, I'm penk!

My name is Ping-Husn "penk" Chen, a full-stack engineer from Taiwan. I design and implement user interfaces, also maintain several open source projects in my spare time.

xPUD

Award-winning Browser OS with an App Store. One of the very first web-browser-only implementation started in 2009, won first prize of Open Source Innovative Application Development Contest in the same year (press release in Chinese), shipped on many thin-client/kiosk devices as well.
MaterialWeather

A practice app using Google's new design language, query weather from OpenWeatherMap API.

Terrarium

A rapid prototyping tool for Qt/QML and Web. It has a splitted view of editor and live previewer. This app is cross-platform supported, and has been published to several app store & market place.
SlateKit

SlateKit is the tablet UX building kit, a drop-in replacement of Android UI stack, to help makers building their own tablet. It consists ready-made UX building blocks, launcher, web browser, OSK and network manager.

qml-handwriting

Open source handwriting recognition keyboard for Chinese/Japanese. QML Canvas and ShortStrawJS are used to detect strokes, query in Zinnia engine and models from Tegaki. More technical details in Chinese.
